2013 Schedule of Events

CNB Bank Raceway Park Purchased and Under New
Man
agement
for 2013
Its official, the CNB Bank Raceway Park has been acquired
by new ownership and will be releasing a 2013
schedule in just a few days!
The new management team will be led by owner Rob Hindt.
Rob and his management team have an extensive background in NASCAR Racing.
For the last few years he has been operating a driving school at short
tracks throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. His experience, background, and
connections in the industry led him to the famed 5/8 mile in Clearfield, PA.
“The Baineys really brought the CNB Bank Raceway Park to
everyone’s attention last year throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region,” started
Hindt. “This place is one of the biggest short tracks in the country, the
geographic location is great, the reputation they established with racers
and fans is phenomenal, and overall it’s just the ideal situation for us to
expand upon. Between our “On Track Racing Experience” and our return to
focus on Asphalt Late Model Racing – I think we are sure to bring some real
excitement to Central and Western PA.”
Former track co-owner Tim Bainey Jr. shared in those
thoughts;
“I’m really excited for what lies ahead with the CNB
Bank Raceway Park. We had discussions with several interested parties, but
Rob had by far the most well balanced and exciting plan for the speedway. I
love asphalt racing and I think that he will be a great contributor to the
long term success of asphalt racing in our part of the country.”
“I am going to continue to work with Rob and the CNB
Bank Raceway Park on the marketing side of things and I am encouraging all
of our friends and business partners to do the same. We have a great place
here in Central Pennsylvania and it is REALLY important for those of us who
love asphalt racing that we support the CNB Bank Raceway Park in whatever
way possible. There are going to be some exciting things going on this
season at the CNB Bank Raceway Park and I can’t wait to be a part of it!”
One of the biggest additions to the 2013 CNB Bank Raceway
Park Schedule will be the schedule of dates for the “On Track Racing
Experience” where fans will be able to take rides or even get behind the
wheel and drive an actual Race Car. Details, Dates, and Packages will be
unveiled soon on the Track’s Website and also at the On Track Racing
Experience’s website.
The Track will also be offering special Corporate
Packages where local businesses will have the opportunity to reward their
employees, clients, and friends with a day at the track. Riding, driving,
and just enjoying everything a day at the racetrack has to offer!
“Our focus is going to be on giving racers and fans
throughout Western PA a chance to really experience and enjoy the CNB Bank
Raceway Park in a number of ways,” said Hindt”. “The driving experience
offers something for everyone as we have programs focused on spending time
with upcoming young racers, as well as programs that are designed for the
Nascar Fan who just wants to have the experience of a lifetime, and just
about anything in between!”
Along with the Driving Experience will be the return of
Late Model, Street Stock, and 4-Cylinder Racing to the famed 5/8 mile
Speedway in 2013! The return of an expanded schedule is also something under
consideration for 2014.
“We are looking forward to our future with the CNB Bank
Raceway Park,” said Hindt. “We will be hosting an “open house” at the
Speedway Saturday, May 4th, where I would like to invite fans, drivers,
teams, and anyone with an interest in our great sport to come out and meet
us. We will be making a number of announcements in the next few days and
weeks, so please keep an eye on the website for all of that information.”
You can keep up with everything going on at CNB Bank
Raceway Park through the tracks website at

FULLONE CLOSES TBRA SEASON WITH WIN AT CNB BANK RACEWAY PARK
By
Terry Whetstone;
For immediate release September 29, 2012
CLEARFIELD, PA – Sam Fullone of North Collins, NY capped
off the 2012 TBRA and CNB Bank Raceway Park season with a victory in the
Window World 100 Sponsored by Kuntz Motors and dedicated to former scorer
Pete Park.
Time Trials for the 24-car TBRA season finale saw
Jenner’s PA driver Barry Awtey set the fastest time at 17.503 seconds on the
5/8th mile speedway. The invert pill showed the top six drivers
being inverted with Dave Whittaker getting the pole position for the 100-lap
grind.
At the initial waving of the green flag it was Whittaker
taking the lead from fellow front row starter Wade Miniea and set the pace
for the first 11-laps when the caution waved for a spinning Glenn Gault Jr.
in turn two.
On the restart, Whittaker’s #2W would not come up to
speed and he ended up dropping out of the event, giving the lead over to
Miniea, who had Fullone in second and trying his best to get by the leader.
Gregory Kelley looped the #44 on lap 18, halting action
once again, then two laps later Fullone was able to get the lead from Miniea
as two crashes occurred on lap 20, halting the action and sidelining several
cars. While some of the impacts were hard, thankfully no one was injured.
Fullone continued to set the pace through several more
yellow flags, but he wasn’t walking away from the field as Jimmy Carter was
starting to mix it up with the leaders, as he took second from Miniea on lap
42 but the three stayed nose to tail and about 10-car lengths ahead of the
fourth place battle.
As the race wore on Fullone still had the pace, sitting
through more cautions but holding off the challenges, then on lap 83, Carter
was able to find an opening and take the lead from Fullone, but Fullone
wasn’t about to just lie down and follow Carter, he battled back and resumed
the lead on lap 89 and held off late challenges from Sever, Tom Fares Jr,
Matt Barndt and Garry Wiltrout, but when Denny Carson waved the checkered
flag it was Fullone taking the victory and $5,000 with Fares, Jr., Barndt,
Sever and Wiltrout completing the top five.
BANK NOTES:
24 drivers from throughout the east coast filled the pits…Awtey’s time of
17.503 seconds works out to an average of about 128 miles per hour on the
big 5/8th mile oval…The final race will determin the 2012 points
champion, however they won’t be finalized until probably Tuesday…Pete Park
drove race cars for 10 years, kept score for
41 years at area race tracks, and was a licensed scorekeeper for NASCAR.
He was the score keeper at CNB Bank Raceway Park from the time it was built
in 1970 until he retired in the late 1990’s. Park passed away Sept. 24 at
the age of 87. He was instrumental in training the scorers working at the
speedway Saturday and was a great friend. Track Owner Tim Bainey Jr. stated
the race would be dedicated to Parks memory for all he’s done for racing
over the years.

East Coast Marketing Group
Gives an All New Look to the
www.cnbbankracewaypark.com Website!
As this are lining up for the last event on the 2012
Schedule for the CNB Bank Raceway Park, plans for 2013 and beyond are
starting to shape up as well.
"It's been a very busy last 16 months," said Tim Bainey
Jr. "The response we've seen from the regional fanbase has been amazing, and
that has generated a lot of interest when it comes to marketing with
regional and even some national corporations. With most of our time being
focused on physically getting the track up and running, the improvements to
the facility, and everything that went along with it... I have to admit -
I've been lagging a little on the marketing side of things. Don't take that
wrong, we've done well - but I'm excited to start really turning my focus
from the "facility" to what goes on at the facility."
"I'm glad to unveil the new layout to the website, its a
great new look we've put together and I would ask all the fans to keep
checking in and support those businesses who support this great sport here
in our hometown region. We have a lot of great partners who have come on
board already in just our first season and are looking forward to building
on those relationships."
"As for our 2013 plans, we have been working on that
stuff for a few months already. There are a lot of things we are
considering... but I can only say we will make some announcements on our
2013 plans as soon as we finalize them."

NASCAR K&N PRO SERIES EVENT AT CNB RACEWAY PARK
For immediate
release
July 14, 2012

Whetstone (photos courtesy Howie Balis)
CLEARFIELD, PA – NASCAR
returned to Clearfield for the first in 24 years Saturday as the K and N Pro
Series visited CNB Bank Raceway Park for the Samuel Metals 150 to a near
capacity crowd as 23 of the best in the series made the trek to the 5/8th
mile speedway.
The race had its share of
local flavor as well as speedway owner
Tim Bainey Jr. of Philipsburg; Benny Gordon of DuBois and Nathan Russell of
Curwensville qualified for the 150 lap event.
Following qualifying and prior
to the National Anthem a moment of silence was observed for speedway
photographer Jim Butler. Butler passed away unexpectedly on July 6. He was
an avid motorsports photographer, traveling with the STARS Late Models for
years as well as being the photographer for the Bainey Family at CNB Bank
Raceway Park. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Brett Moffiitt and Corey
LaJoie led the field to the start with Moffitt taking the lead and actually
never giving it up, but the race saw its first of several cautions on lap 8
when LaJoie hit the wall and came to a halt at the entrance to pit road. He
was the first one of the race, and he was second in points going into the
race.
Moffitt continued to lead when
the action resumed but another caution on lap 23 when Ben Kennedy and
Darrell Wallace Jr. got together and crashed into the second turn wall. They
both continued.
As Moffitt continued leading
his biggest threat came from his

teammate, Serigo Pena. As the race neared
the 75th lap, Pena was able to pull alongside of Moffitt but when
the mandatory break came around, Pena was unable to get the #1 car to
re-fire and he lost several laps trying to get the car back on track. He
ended up about 7 laps down.
Moffitt was able to continue
but his new challenger was Kennedy, who had recovered from his earlier crash
to be competitive, but Kennedy was only able to offer a challenge on long
runs and Moffitt was best on the short runs.

With just four laps to go the
final caution flew, when the lights went off on the back stretch. NASCAR
stopped the race for about 15-minutes until the power was restored. A two
lap shoot-out was scheduled with Moffitt able to hold off rookie contender
Kyle Larson who was able to get by Kennedy at the end. The final top five
were: Moffitt, Larson, Kennedy, Ryan Gifford and Bryan Ortiz.
BANK NOTES: 23 teams from 11
states, Puerto Rico and Mexico competed in the event… Gordon and Bainey
finished 9th and 10th, respectively, beside each other
at the line while Russell finished 14th…the race took
1 hour, 17 minutes
and 4 seconds to complete…
the next event at
CNB Bank Raceway Park is the TBRA Late Models paying $5,000 to win
the 100 Lap event on Sept. 29. Admission is $20 for the grandstands and $30
for the drive-in viewing. Additional information is on the website at

Grand Opening Colt James takes Checkered Flag and $5,000 Payday in
“WeAreCentralPa.com 100 presented by WTAJ”
North Carolina's Colt James took the $5,000 Checkered
Flag in the first ever event at the CNB Bank Raceway Park in Clearfield, PA
Saturday Night in what gave a little preview of what lies ahead for the CNB
Bank Raceway Park.
“What a great opening night for the CNB Bank Raceway
Park, I couldn’t be more excited with the racing we saw here tonight," said
Track Co-Owner Tim Bainey Jr.
“These guys definitely answered any questions teams and
fans might have had about the condition of the track, the overall grip, and
the smoothness of the place. These guys were running lap times in the 17.6
second range, the fastest ever here on this 5/8 mile – and they made it
exciting! In the first 40 laps we saw cars running 2 and 3-wide all the way
around the track, that is something you don’t get to see a lot in any form
of racing. The feedback I got from the drivers was pretty simple… they loved
the place… and that is EXACTLY what we were hoping to hear!”
“We have a few things to work on, the new scoreboard will
be here next week, pit road is scheduled to be finished as well. Our
schedule got thrown off about 30 minutes due to some “first time”
coordination between the series and the speedway, but overall --- I couldn’t
have asked for a better opening night at the CNB Bank Raceway Park!”
The Next Event on the schedule is July 14th when the
NASCAR K&N Pro Series East comes to Pennsylvania for the Samuel Metals 150.

The New “CNB Bank Raceway Park” is unveiled through a
Multi-Year Partnership with CNB Bank
NASCAR
Racing is back in Central Pennsylvania, and as the future plans for the 5/8
Mile Asphalt Speedway start to take shape another major announcement was
made today as a Multi-Year Partnership with CNB Bank was announced through
which the track will be officially known as “CNB Bank Raceway Park”.
“I’m
really excited to be able to partner with such a trademark of the Central
and Western Pennsylvania Region,” said track co-owner Tim Bainey Jr. “When
it comes to community involvement and doing good things for the citizens of
our region – nobody does it like the people at CNB Bank – and that is
exactly what we plan to do at the CNB Bank Raceway Park right here in
Clearfield, PA.”
Joseph B. Bower, Jr., President
and CEO of CNB Bank, shared in the excitement and stated, “We are proud to
lend our support to a community project that will draw thousands of visitors
to our area.”
The
announcement was made in coordination with the unveiling of a new track logo
and website (www.cnbbankracewaypark.com).
“We have
a lot of big plans for CNB Bank Raceway Park,” said Bainey Jr. “And this
will be the first of many announcements coming in the next few weeks as we
continue to finalize plans for the speedway.”
